How to Delete Pending Friend Requests on Facebook
If someone wants to add you as a friend on Facebook, she must send you a friend request, and you must accept her request. When she sends you a request, you receive a notification on your profile page. Although you can ignore requests, and not accept them, they accumulate and take up space on the notification page. If you no longer want to view old friend requests, you can permanently delete them from your profile.
Log in to Facebook, and click the "Friend Requests" icon on the menu bar. A pop-up window opens and displays pending friend requests.
Click "See All Friend Requests" in the pop-up window.
Click "Not Now" next to request you want to delete. This hides the request and allows you to delete it.
Click "See Hidden Requests" to display all the hidden requests. If the request you just hid does not appear, refresh the page.
Click "Delete Request" next to the name of the user you want to delete, or press "Delete All" to delete all friend requests.
Tips & Warnings
- When you delete a friend request, you are asked if you know the user. If you don't know the user, click "No" to stop receiving her friend requests. If you press "Yes" or don't answer the question, you can still receive her friend requests.
