How to Delete Safari's History on the iPhone

Safari is a web browser developed by Apple and included on all Internet-capable Apple devices. To save you time while browsing the Internet, Safari stores your history, which includes past searches and websites visited. If you don't want others to see what you have searched online, there are two ways you can delete your history.

Delete Only Safari History

Step 1

Open your Settings menu by tapping on the "Settings" icon.

Step 2

Tap on "Safari" in your Settings menu.

Step 3

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "Clear History" button.

Step 4

Click on "Clear History" from the pop-up menu.

Delete Safari And Google History

Step 1

Open Safari by taping on the "Safari" icon.

Step 2

Tap on the Bookmark icon, located on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3

Tap on the "Clear" button, located on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4

Tap on the "Clear History" button from the pop-up menu.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you continue to see URLs in your drop-down menu when typing in the address bar, you have bookmarked these websites. To clear your bookmarks, open the "Safari" app, tap on the "Bookmark" icon, tap on the "Edit" icon, tap on the red dot beside the bookmark you want to delete then tap on the "Delete" button that appears.
