How to Disable a Verizon Data Plan
Verizon Wireless data plans allow you to access additional features on your mobile phone, such as the Web browser, email and certain applications, without being charged per megabyte or kilobyte for the data those services use. If you decide to disable your data plan from Verizon Wireless, you will still have access to these services but they will bill differently. On many Verizon Wireless cell phones, data plans are optional. Smartphones are the exception. If you want to disable a data plan and currently have a smartphone, you will have to change devices.
