How to Download Apps to My New iPhone
New iPhone owners will notice that their device only comes with a few apps pre-installed. In order to expand the functionality of your new iPhone, you need to download third-party apps through the iOS App Store. The iOS App Store features both free and paid apps, and you can download them directly on your device without having to connect your phone to a computer and sync with iTunes.
Things You'll Need
Tap on the "App Store" icon on your iPhone's Home screen.
Use the tabs at the bottom of the screen to browse and search through the App Store listings.
Tap on the name of an app you are interested in to view its extended details and read customer reviews.
Tap on the blue button that is labeled with the app's price or the word "Free."
Tap on the green button that says "Buy Now" or "Install" to confirm your decision to download the selected app.
Enter your iTunes Store username and password using the onscreen keyboard and tap "OK" when you are done. Your iPhone will now download the app and install it.
Tips & Warnings
- You can also access the App Store via the iTunes program on your computer. Apps purchased through iTunes on a computer can be synced to your iPhone in the same way songs and videos are synced.
