How to Download Facebook Photo Albums

Facebook is a great place to share photos with friends and family, but all of the pictures are subject to deletion by their owners. If you've ever wanted to save pictures of yourself or your friends and family locally but found it tedious to navigate picture by picture, then it is definitely time to explore some other options. Firefox has a robust extension system that makes it easy to do just about anything on the Internet, including downloading Facebook albums in one fell swoop.

Things You'll Need

  • Firefox web browser
  • FacePAD Firefox Extension

Downloading Facebook Photo Albums

Step 1

Download and install the Firefox web browser if you do not already have it.

Step 2

Install the FacePAD Firefox extension from by clicking "Add to Firefox". Restart the browser.

Step 3

Navigate to a Facebook album you wish to download but do not enter the photo album.

Step 4

Right-click on the photo album and select the option "Download Album with FacePAD" and the pictures from the album will be saved to the default download location set in Firefox.

Tips & Warnings

  • It is best to do one album at a time and then re-organize the pictures once they are downloaded so as not to make a mess out of your download folder. Once the downloads are completed, you can relocate the files from your the downloads folder to your standard pictures folder.
