How to Download iTunes for Windows XP

Apple's iTunes program includes a variety of functions. It began as a music player, but expanded to include videos, audio books, synchronization for Apple portable devices such as iPods, iPads and iPhones. The iTunes program lets you import existing music CDs to have a complete digital collection for listening on your computer or synchronizing to a compatible device. The iTunes store lets you purchase additional music, videos, movies, books and even download some free content.

Step 1

Open your preferred Web browser and go to the website. Enter your email address and click the "Download Now" button.

Step 2

Click the "Save" or "Save as" option in your browser and choose a location to save the setup file. Internet Explorer users may need to click the yellow bar at the top of the window and select the "Download the File" option.

Step 3

Double-click the setup file after the download. Follow the prompts to install iTunes on your computer.
