How to Edit a Code in Entry Mode on a Prepaid Phone

By Eric Wilborn

Prepaid phones, such as those on Tracfone, Straight Talk or Net10 service, offer a code entry mode. This mode typically isn't used by the average consumer except in cases where a support technician over the phone advises the user to enter into this mode. Code entry mode does exactly what the name states; it allows the user to enter codes into the phone for certain events, such as service re-enabling or minute addition.

Things You'll Need

Step 1

Turn on the phone.

Step 2
