How to Enter a TV Code on AT&T U-Verse
The AT&T U-Verse remote is a multi-function unit that has capacity to control your television, DVD player and personal audio systems. Each device has unique electronic identification codes for the remote control to recognize and control the unit, so programming the remote properly can make the difference between a single remote or one per device in your living room.
Turn on the television. Locate the code for your TV's manufacturer in the remote control's user guide.
Push and hold the "TV" key on the remote. Hold the "TV" key down while you press and hold "OK." Release the two buttons at the same time.
Enter the code from the user guide for your television. Watch for the indicator lights on the remote to flash three times. Repeat the process if they do not flash. Hold the remote toward the television, press and release the "Power" button, and confirm that the device turns off. Repeat the process if it does not turn off.
Turn on the television. Hold the remote facing the television, press and hold the "TV" button on the remote. Press and hold "OK" then release the "OK" and "TV" buttons at the same time.
