How to Erase Music from an iPhone
Your iPhone includes a built-in iPod player, which enables you to download and playback music. iPhones vary in memory size, so you may have to remove songs if you are running out of memory. With iTunes, you can delete songs from your device safely without interfering with the other components on your iPhone.
Things You'll Need
- USB cable
Connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB that comes with it. Launch iTunes if it does not launch automatically.
Click your iPhone on the left panel under "Devices" and click the "Music" tab. Click the "Sync Music" check box and click the "Selected playlists, artists and genres" radio button.
Uncheck the playlist containing the songs that you want to remove from your iPhone. If you want to remove a specific artist's songs, uncheck the artist in the "Artists" box. Click "Sync." iTunes automatically erases the playlists that you unchecked.
Right-click your iPhone on the left panel and click "Eject." Close iTunes and disconnect your phone from the computer.
