How to Find a User's Hotmail Address by Their Name
Hotmail is a free email service provided by Microsoft under the Windows Live series of software products. Hotmail is actually a combination of Microsoft's old MSN email service and the original Hotmail service purchased by Microsoft. In addition to basic email capabilities, Hotmail allows users to create profiles and build social network connections through email and MSN Messenger. This also allows users to search the Hotmail network for friends and family and get in touch with them through the service.
Log in to your MSN Hotmail email account. A link to the Hotmail sign in screen is located in the Reference section of this article.
Click on the Windows Live "Home" link across the top of the Hotmail website.
Locate the search box in the top right of the screen. The words "Search People or Web" appear in the text box.
Click once in the text box and click on "Search People" from the small drop down menu that appears.
Enter the name of the person whose email address you want to look up and press "Enter."
Scroll through the list of results and click on the link for the person you want to look up. Note that some names are common and multiple results may appear. Details such as age or a photo next to the result will help locate the specific person you are searching for.
Click on "Profile" to view the person's profile and scroll though it until you see their e-mail address. If none is present, click on "Send a private message" on their profile which will bring up the "New Message" section. In the "To:" text box view the email address. If the person has their privacy settings turned on you will need to click "Add" on their profile followed by "Send Invitation" and wait for the person to join your Hotmail network before you can view the e-mail address.
