New versions of software are regularly distributed, and they all have new features or fixes for certain items. Sometimes the upgrades are automatic, but sometimes you need to know what version of software you have installed before initiating an upgrade. In the case of Internet Explorer, there is a quick route to see which version of Internet Explorer you have installed on your computer.
Launch your Internet Explorer browser by clicking the "Start" button and then selecting "Internet Explorer" on your computer.
Press the "ALT" and "H" keys simultaneously and select "About Internet Explorer."
View which version of Internet Explorer you have and when the latest update was applied.
