How to Fix an Oversized Screen on a Computer

By Tricia Goss

If the icons and windows on your computer screen seem oversized and barely fit or are too large to completely view on your monitor, you need to change your screen resolution settings. Changing the screen resolution to a higher setting will actually make the images on your monitor smaller. The manner in which you modify these settings depends on the operating system you use.

Right click any blank area on your computer desktop. Select "Properties."
