How to Fix Problems on Windows Internet Explorer 7

Internet Explorer 7 is a version of the popular browser made by Microsoft. The browser, at times, may become corrupted and start displaying errors or crashing. There are several ways to fix these problems that take about 10 minutes to complete.

Reset Internet Explorer 7

Step 1

Launch Internet Explorer 7 if you can.

Step 2

Hit "Tools" in the menu bar. Scroll down and click "Internet Options."

Step 3

Hit the "Advanced" tab. Hit the "Reset" button. Select "Reset" in the box that appears and confirm your choice.

Reinstall Internet Explorer 7

Step 1

Open your browser.

Step 2

Go to the Windows Internet Explorer 7 Web page (see Resource section).

Step 3

Hit the "Download" button. Hit "Open" or "Run this program from its current location."

Step 4

Follow the prompts to install the software. These prompts involve where you want to save the software and agreeing to a user agreement. Click the "Finish" button at the end of the process. Restart your computer.

Service Pack 3

Step 1

Open your browser.

Step 2

Go to the Microsoft Windows update Web page (see Resource section).

Step 3

Hit the "Express Install" button. Follow the prompts to install the software. These prompts involve where you want to save the software and agreeing to a user agreement. Click the "Finish" button at the end of the process. Restart your computer.
