How to Fix Shockwave Flash

Whenever you have any issues with your Flash and Shockwave players, you can use tools on your system and software from Adobe to fix almost any problem. The Flash and Shockwave players are web players that enhance Internet browsing, video and sound quality. If you are experiencing constant issues with your Shockwave or Flash player, take care of it with a few simple steps.

Step 1

Exit all programs. Click "Start" and open the "Control Panel." Double-click "Uninstall a Program" or "Add/Remove Programs," depending on your operating system.

Step 2

Locate and uninstall the Shockwave Player. Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the process.

Step 3

Download and install the Flash Player removal tool (see Resources). Open the software and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the removal. Reboot your system.

Download and reinstall the Flash Player and Shockwave Player (see Resources).
