Visit the SafeLink Wireless website to see if you qualify for a free cellphone and free cellphone service. Click "Learn" to check the criteria for your state.

Click "Enroll" and provide your ZIP code. If SafeLink is available in your state, click "Apply" on the next screen to begin the qualification process. Criteria for qualification include participation in state or federal assistance programs such as housing assistance, food stamps and Medicaid, or household income 135 percent below poverty. You must have a USPS address to qualify, and you will have to provide proof of income as well.
