How to Get Free Smiley Faces

Smiley faces are animated cartoons that show emotion or actions. These emoticons are used in instant messaging, emails and social networking to express emotion, and are available from multiple venues online. These websites provide links or codes to their smiley faces. There is also an icon you can place on your toolbar to quickly add smiley faces to your electronic communication.

FreeSmileys.org

Step 1

Go to the FreeSmileys website. Click the "Smileys" link in the left navigation pane.

Step 2

Choose a smiley type from the "Smiley Galleries."

Step 3

Choose a smiley from the list. Each smiley has three links underneath it. The "Forum Code" is for use in your forum signature. The "HTML Code" is for blogs, social networking and websites. The "URL" code is for everything else.

Step 4

Click the code box for the smiley you want. Press the "Ctrl" and "C" buttons to copy the code. Use the "Ctrl" and "V" keys to paste the code into your site.

Smiley Central

Step 1

Go to the Smiley Central website using Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. Click the "Click "Here! Get FREE Smileys!" button.

Step 2

Click the "Run" button to download the instlattion files. Click the "Run" button again to start the installation. Click the "Continue" button if prompted for permission.

Step 3

Click the "Accept" button to accept the terms of service. Click the "Finish" button.

Step 4

Open the media you are inserting the smiley into. Click the "Smiley Central" button on the toolbar. Choose your smiley from the left navigation pane. Click the smiley to add it to your email or instant messenger.

Easy Free Smileys

Step 1

Go to the Easy Free Smileys website. Click a smiley category in the left navigation pane.

Step 2

Choose a smiley from the gallery options. Click the icon to go to the download page.

Step 3

Copy one of the smiley codes using the "Ctrl" and "C" keys. There are four codes given: forum, HTML, MySpace and email.

Step 4

Open the media you are inserting the smiley into. Paste the code using the "Ctrl" and "V" keys.
