How to Get My iPhone Off the Emergency Call Screen

The iPhone is made by Apple Inc. It comes in five generations: the 1G, 2G, 3G, 3GS and the most current, the iPhone 4. There is talk of an iPhone 5. The iPhone comes from the factory to use the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) band for communication on AT&T's network. Step

Start up your computer and load iTunes. If you do not have iTunes, it can be downloaded free from Apple.

Step

Remove the SIM holder by inserting the SIM removal tool in the small hole on the holder. The holder is located on the top or bottom of the phone, depending on the model of iPhone.

Place the SIM chip in the holder and insert it into the phone.

Step

Plug the interface cable into the iPhone and an available USB port on the computer. ITunes should recognize the iPhone.

If iTunes does not see the iPhone, it may be turned off. Press and hold the "ON" button located at the top of the phone for three seconds.

ITunes will display a series of instructions to set up and activate the iPhone. Follow these instructions exactly. The iPhone will no longer display the emergency call screen once activation is complete.
