How to Get the Back Button Toolbar on Internet Explorer?

By Suvro Banerji

The "Back" button toolbar is extremely useful when it comes to browsing in Internet Explorer or any other browser. The "Back" button lets you go back to a previous page and, when completed with the "Forward" button, the toolbar also helps you advance to the next page. Malware or spyware infections are some of the many reasons why the back button may suddenly disappear from your Internet Explorer toolbar.

Step 1

Launch Internet Explorer browser.

Step 2

Click on "View" on the top bar of the browser and select "Toolbar."

Step 3

Click on "Customize." Look for "Available toolbar buttons."

Step 4

Scroll down the list of tools. Locate "Back" in the list and then click on "Add." If your "Forward" button is also missing, locate "Forward" in the list and click on "Add."

Step 5

Hit "OK." Close down your Internet Explorer browser and launch the browser again. You should now see the "Back" and "Forward" button toolbar in your browser.
