By Techwalla Contributor

Congratulations, you know have an iPhone (or at least I'm assuming you do) but your having some trouble with it, you want o make a call buy your contacts are empty.Well say your SIM card has been transferred from your old phone to your new one but when you go to the contacts menu it's empty. How do you fix this? Well fortunately this can be fixed pretty quickly.

Things You'll Need

  • Your iPhone

Step 1

Make sure the phone is charged or has enough battery life for now.

Step 2

In case you didn't know how to get to your applications screen, click the button on the right hand top of the iPhone. The screen will unlock, touch and hold the slider and slide it all the way to the right to unlock it.

Step 3

Go to the Settings menu on your iPhone (icon with a picture of gears) and select that icon.

Step 4

Now scroll down to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" and select that. (Blue icon with an envelope right under the general tab)

Step 5

Scroll down and select "Import SIM Contacts" (under the contacts section of that menu)

Step 6

Wait a minute and it will update your contacts. And your old contacts should now appear on to your iPhone.
