How to Install a Belkin Wireless G Router Without the Disc

By Heather Lindsay

The Belkin Wireless G router allows for wireless Internet connectivity to multiple devices within a home or office setting. This wireless router comes with installation software that assesses the network environment of the router and configures its settings accordingly to provide optimal efficiency and security in its installation. Over time these installation disks can become lost, but are not required to correctly install the router. Instead, use any standard Web browser to install the Belkin Wireless G router via the firmware.

Step 1

Type the IP address of the Belkin Wireless G router into any standard Web browser. This IP address is "" unless changed by the user. This opens the router's "Web-based Advanced User Interface."

Step 2

Type your password into the login screen that appears and click the "Submit" button. If you have not set a password, leave it blank and click the login button.

Step 3

Click the "Internet WAN" link on the left side of the web browser.

Step 4

Follow the on-screen prompts to manually set up the Belkin Wireless G router. You will be asked a series of questions about your Internet Service Provider that must be answered to set up the wireless router.

Step 5

Log out and close the browser when the setup process is complete.
