The ability to pause and rewind live television, as well as record programs when not at home, allows the user not to miss a single moment of his favorite shows. How to Install a Time Warner DVR

Step 1

Unpack the Time Warner DVR cable box from the packaging. Set the remote and cables aside.

Step 2

Place the DVR in the location where it will be used, such as in a cabinet or on a TV stand.

Step 3

Connect the cable box to the coaxial cable coming from the wall by screwing the coaxial cable into the input on the cable box.

Step 4

Connect the cable box to the television using either the supplied component cables or supplied coaxial cable. The cables should go from the output on the cable box into the input on the television.

Step 5

Turn the TV on and change the input on the television to match the input of the DVR box.

Step 6

Plug the DVR box into the power cable and power the unit on. The DVR box will run through its initial setup, which can take up to 15 minutes. Once the initialization is complete, you can watch television.

Tips & Warnings

  • You may also use HDMI Cables to connect the DVR to the TV.Make sure you have the cables connected properly or the picture may not display.
