How to Install AdobeFlash Player

While browsing the Internet, you may notice that certain animations or videos don't open in your Web browser. One way that you can remedy this problem is to download and install Adobe Flash Player. Adobe Flash Player will allow you to open and view those files either in the Web browser window you're using or a different window. Adobe Flash Player can be downloaded directly off the Adobe website. Users with high speed Internet can install the program in under five minutes.

Firefox, Safari, Opera

Step 1

Log onto the Adobe Flash Player homepage (see Resources below).

Step 2

Click the "Agree and Install Now" button. A small window will appear.

Step 3

Click the "Save File" button in the small window. The Adobe Flash Player installation will download to your computer.

Step 4

Open the Adobe Flash Player installation. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Adobe Flash Player onto your computer.

Other Web Browsers/Operating Systems

Step 1

Go to the Adobe Flash Player homepage (see Resources below).

Step 2

Click the "Different Operating System or Browser" link. You will be directed to a new Web page.

Step 3

Click the "Select an Operating System" drop box. Choose your computer's operating system. A "step 2" option will then appear on the Web page.

Step 4

Choose one of the available versions of Adobe Flash Player listed beneath the "step 2" option. The versions you see will vary based upon which operating system you chose in the previous step.

Step 5

Click the "Agree and Install Now" button. A small window will appear on the screen. Click the "Save File" button in that window to download the Adobe Flash Player installation program.

Step 6

Open the Adobe Flash Player installation and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
