How to Install Filters in Photoshop
You can install extensions and other add-ons, such as filters, in Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud 2014 by syncing your add-ons with your Adobe ID and Creative Cloud subscription. While the Extension Manager is typically automatically installed with other Adobe applications, you may need to download and install it from the Adobe website. Filters, brushes and templates are common Photoshop features bundled with add-on packages. You can manage most Adobe CC add-ons with the Extension Manager. You must have Extension Manager CC 7.2 or above to access add-ons in Photoshop CC 2014.
Install Extension Manager CC
Click the "AdobeExtensionManagerCCALL.zip" link on the Adobe website to download the Extension Manager (link in Resources). If prompted, select the option to save the file to your Downloads folder.
Select the "AdobeExtensionManagerCCALL.zip" compressed folder in File Explorer. Open your "Downloads" folder, right-click the file and then select "Extract All…" or click the "Extract" tab and then the "Extract All" button. Click the "Extract" button. It may take a few minutes to extract all the compressed files.
Exit any Adobe applications currently running on your computer. Open the "Set-Up.exe" file from the extracted folder. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Browse and Sync Add-Ons With Creative Cloud
Open "Photoshop," click the "Help" menu and then "Browse Add-Ons…" to open the Adobe Add-ons website.
Enter the name of the add-on you want to download in the "Search" field and press "Enter." Alternatively, browse through the available add-ons until you identify an add-on you want to install. Click on the add-on's name or icon.
Click the price button below the add-on name.
Sign in with your Adobe ID, if prompted. If you're purchasing an add-on, follow the prompts to confirm your payment details. Your add-ons automatically sync with your compatible Creative Cloud apps, including Photoshop.
Download and Install Add-Ons With Extension Manager
Download the add-on you want to install. You can download add-ons from third-party websites, or the Adobe Add-Ons site (link in Resources). To manually download an add-on from Adobe's Add-Ons site, instead of syncing with your account, open the add-on's Web page, click "Where to Find It", "Download / Install Your Add-On Another Way" and then the "Download Add-On" button.
Open "Extension Manager." Alternatively, open "Photoshop," click "Help" and then "Manage Extensions…"
Click the "File" menu and then "Install Extension." Select the add-on you downloaded to your computer. If prompted, confirm any warning messages about installing the add-on. You may need to exit any open Adobe applications before your add-on becomes available in Photoshop, including restarting Photoshop.
