How to Install Flash Player Plugins for Firefox

By Jason Spidle

Installing the Adobe Flash player plug-in in the Mozilla Firefox Web browser is a simple process handled by the built-in Firefox Plug-in Finder Service. If the Flash plug-in is not present when attempting to view a website that uses Flash, Firefox will launch the Plug-in Finder Service and provide a straightforward wizard for installing and enabling Flash in the browser.

Step 1

Launch "Firefox," and navigate to the Adobe Flash information page. Numerous Flash elements exist on this website, ensuring that the Plug-in Finder Service is launched.

Step 2

Click "Install Missing Plug-ins" after the page loads, and the Plug-in Finder Service alert ribbon is displayed.

Step 3

Click "Next" once Firefox completes scanning your system for installed plug-ins.

Step 4

Select "Adobe Flash Player," and then click "Next."

Step 5

Click "I Agree" to consent to the Adobe license agreement for Flash, and then click "Next."

Step 6

Click "Finish" once installation is complete.
