How to Install Internet Explorer 8

Internet Explorer 8 is the default browser that comes installed on Windows 7 and is available for download on other versions of Microsoft Windows. Internet Explorer 8 is more secure and offers more features than earlier versions. It is a good idea to have the latest version of Explorer, even if you prefer to use another browser, such as Firefox or Chrome. Many websites are only compatible with Internet Explorer, and there will be occasions when you must use this particular browser.

Save the installation file to your desktop. This may take several minutes, depending on your connection speed.

Step

Double-click on the installation file and select “Run.” Click on “Next” and confirm that you accept the license agreement. Click “Next” again to install the program.

Step

Restart the computer to finalize the installation. Choose “Restart later” to finish at a later time.
