According to Microsoft.com, Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer is a Macintosh-based viewer that can be used with PowerPoint X, 2001, and the 98 version for MAC. When you install the PowerPoint Viewer for your MAC desktop or laptop, you will get quicker access to all of your presentations.

Installing Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer on a MAC
Go to the Microsoft Download Center (Microsoft.com/downloads) and in the search area on the right of the words "Microsoft Download Center," type in "PowerPoint 98 Viewer for Macintosh." Click on the magnifying glass. A new window will pop up. Click on “PowerPoint 98 Viewer for Macintosh.” Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Viewer is compatible with PowerPoint X, PowerPoint 2001, and PowerPoint 98.
Scroll down the page and click "Download." According to Microsoft.com, to open the file immediately, click "Open" or "Run this program from its current location." To copy the download first and save it to download later, click "Save" or "Save this program to disk."
Double-click the file "Microsoft PowerPoint View.sit," which can be found on your local hard drive. This appears after the viewer has been downloaded. This will begin the installation process.
Open the Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer folder. This will also be on your hard drive.
