How to Install the MSN Toolbar

The MSN toolbar, also known as the Bing toolbar is a free browser add-on that allows you to search for online content no matter where you are on the Internet. It is a free application that uses Silverlight technology and allows you quicker access to MSN and Bing content. The MSN toolbar is only available for Windows XP and Vista operating systems and is as easy to install, as it is to use.

Step 1

Go to the MSN Toolbar download page (see Resources) and click "Download Free Now."

Step 2

Click "Save" and select the location to download and save the installation file to on your computer. Save the installation file to the desktop for quicker access to it.

Step 3

Double-click the installation file from the location you saved it and click "Run." The Bing toolbar installation wizard launches.

Step 4

Click "Accept" after reading the terms and conditions on the welcome screen. The toolbar files are copied on your computer and the toolbar is installed.

Step 5

Select the MSN options you want to such as making MSN your home page. Click "Finish." Close and re-launch your web browser. You should see the MSN Toolbar on the top of your web browser.
