How to Install Windows Update Agent
Windows Update Agent is the service program that searches for, downloads, and installs updates on computers that have Windows operating systems. If the Windows Update Agent needs updating, or if it stops working for some reason, it needs to be reinstalled so that you can continue updating your operating system. The procedure for installing Windows Update Agent is so simple that all you have to do is navigate to a webpage and it becomes a part of your operating system's services cache.
Open your web browser and navigate to the Microsoft website (see Resources below).
On the Microsoft home page, run your mouse over "Support" and a drop-down menu will appear. Click on "Help & Support Home."
Run the mouse over "Downloads & Updates" on the left panel under the bold heading, "Support Options." A drop-down menu will appear. Click on "Microsoft Update." Once you arrive at the Microsoft Update screen, the Windows Update Agent will automatically be installed.
