How to Invite Someone to Twitter
One of the most useful parts to any social networking application is the social component. For social networking to be effective, you've got to know other people that use the application. This is especially true with Twitter. Conversation is at the root of Twitter. While you may be able to find new people on Twitter, you can also invite someone to Twitter who you know from another setting.
Log into Twitter from the Twitter homepage.
Select "Find & Follow" from the menu located in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Pick "Invite From Other Networks" if you want to invite someone to Twitter that you have in your contact list at Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, AOL Mail, MSN Mail or Gmail. Enter your email log-in information and password, and Twitter will automatically pull in your contacts. If the user is already on Twitter, you will see them on the screen. If not, Twitter will send them an invitation if you wish.
Click "Invite by Email" if you want to send an individual invitation to someone via Twitter. Enter the recipient's email address in the "Send Email Invites" box. You can enter multiple addresses in this box, simply separate them with a comma.
Look at the sample invitation by clicking on "What will this look like?" Once you are satisfied, click "Send."
Tips & Warnings
- Twitter doesn't store your email log-in information, and it is completely safe to enter this information to allow Twitter to get your contacts.
