How to Limit What Friends Can See on Facebook
The popular social networking website Facebook has many security settings to protect your profile from unwanted visitors. These settings include the ability to block specific people from contacting you, lower your search visibility and change the visibility of your profile. Facebook allows you to edit specific information and make it viewable to the public, friends only or completely private. To limit what your Facebook friends can see, edit your Facebook privacy settings. You can find your privacy settings in the account settings of your Facebook homepage.
Log into your Facebook account and click the arrow next to "Account."
Click "Privacy Settings" in the drop-down menu.
Click "Customize Settings."
Edit the settings according to your needs. You can edit who can see your status, photos, posts, bio, relationships, birthday and who can post to your Facebook wall.
Block specific friends by selecting "Customize" from the drop-down menu on each heading. Enter the friend's name in the "Hide this from" section.
Allow only specific friends by selecting "Customize" from the drop-down menu on each heading, select "Specific People" and enter the friend's name in the "Make this visible to" field.
Click "Save Settings" when you are finished. Your new privacy settings are effective immediately.
