How to List on Amazon Without a UPC

By Sarai Jeremiah

When you create a seller account on Amazon.com, you can list and sell a variety of items, such as books, CDs and DVDs. Although using a UPC identifier is one way you can search for and list the items you want to sell, it is not the only way. Amazon.com offers two methods for listing items on its website that does not require a UPC identifier.

From The "Sell Your Stuff" Page

Step 1

Navigate to Amazon.com and log into your account.

Step 2

Scroll down to the bottom of the website and click the "Sell on Amazon" link below the "Make Money with Us" heading.

Step 3

Click the "Start Selling" button inside the "Sell Your Stuff" box.

Step 4

Select the type of item you want to list from the "Select Product Category:" drop-down menu.

Step 5

Enter a title or keyword for the item you want to list in the "Search by Title or Keyword(s):" box and click the "Start Selling" button. Alternatively, enter the ISBN or ASIN identifier for your item in the "Search by ISBN, UPC, or ASIN:" box and click the "Start Selling" button.

Step 6

Select the item you want to list from the list of results, then click the "Sell Yours Here" button.

Step 7

Enter any additional information required to list your item, then click the "Continue" button.
