How to Make a Copyright Sign on a Keyboard
Though you can’t see it on your keyboard, you can create almost any special character you need on a document. With Windows “Character Map” or the Mac “Character Palette,” you can copy and paste characters into documents. If there is one character, like the copyright symbol, that you use often, you'll want to learn the keyboard shortcut so you do not have to keep copying and pasting from the “Character Map” or “Character Palette.”
Place the cursor where you want the symbol to be in the document.
Press either "Alt" key.
While holding down the "Alt" key, type 0169 on the numeric pad on the right of the keyboard. If you are using a laptop or keyboard without the numeric pad hold down "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "C" simultaneously.
Place the cursor where you want the symbol in the document.
Hold the "Option" key.
While holding down the "Option" key, hit the letter "G" on the keyboard.
