Using Windows

Step

Plug the flash drive you would like to make bigger into a USB port on your computer.

Step

Click the “Start” button.

Step

Select “My Computer.”

Step

Right click your flash drive within the “My Computer” window and select “Format.”

Choose a “File System” compatible with your needs. For instance, the “FAT 32” file system is compatible with both Mac and PC computers.

Rename the flash drive by typing a name in the “Volume Label” box.

Click “Start” and select “OK” to reformat the flash drive.

Step

Plug the flash drive you would like to make bigger into a USB port on your computer.

Click on the “Finder.”

Step

Select the “Applications” folder.

Step

Open “Utilities” and double click “Disc Utility.”

Click the “Erase” tab and then select your flash drive.

Step

Choose a “Volume Format” compatible with your needs. For instance, the “FAT 32” file system is compatible with both Mac and PC computers.
