How to Make Earbuds Fit
Most personal music devices like the iPod come with earbud headphones. Unfortunately for some people, it can be a struggle to keep the earbuds in their ears. Everyone has different sized ear canals, so not all earbuds will fit properly. With the earbuds falling out of your ears, it can be quite difficult to listen to music while taking part in physical activities such as running or walking. However, there is a simple and inexpensive fix that can correct this problem for good.
Things You'll Need
- earbud headphones
- one package of silicone swimming ear plugs
Buy a pack of silicone putty swimming ear plugs. These are sold at most drugstores. You will be able to find them in the pharmacy section.
Pull off a small piece of the silicone putty to start. If you need a bigger piece just add more putty to the piece you started with.
Insert the earbud headphones in your ears. Reach around the back of your head and pull up your ear.
Stick the small piece of the silicone plug at the top of the earbud. Try not to cover the holes at the top of the bud.
Move the earbud around and make any adjustments to ensure a secure fit.
Test them out! Go for a brisk walk or long run and enjoy the comfort of having the earbuds stay in place.
