How to Make Google My Default Web Page

Using an Internet search technology called PageRank, Google is one of the most efficient search engines available on the web. Boasting the largest index of web pages across the world, Google receives about 1 billion searches every day from people all over the planet. Favored among Internet users for its search reliability and broad network, Google makes searching the Internet easy and fast. Fortunately, if you want to make Google your home page, several easy steps can complete the task.

Using Firefox

Step 1

Open your Firefox browser and click on the "Tools" tab located on the upper left side of the window.

Step 2

Click on "Options," which is the last choice on the drop-down menu.

Step 3

Select the "General" tab and on the "Start-up" box click on the bar next to where it says "When Firefox starts" and select the "Show my home page" option on the drop-down menu.

Step 4

Type http://www.google.com in the text box located next to where it says "Home Page:" Click on the "OK" tab on the bottom of the box.

Using Internet Explorer.

Step 1

Open your Internet Explorer browser and click on the "Tools" tab located on the upper right side of the window.

Step 2

Select the "Internet Options" at the bottom of the drop-down menu and click on the "General" tab.

Step 3

Type http://www.google.com in the text box below where it says "Home Page" and click on "OK" at the bottom of the box to save the changes.
