How to Make Money From Home With Yahoo! Answers

By C.D. Crowder

Yahoo! Answers is a question and answer site created by Yahoo. Users post questions and other users give answers. You can vote on the best answer. Members earn points by answering questions and by providing the best answer. Points are spent to ask questions. Questions are in a variety of topics. The site is free to use and advertising is strictly prohibited. However, you can legally make money from Yahoo! Answers while still helping out other users.

Things You'll Need

  • Yahoo! Account
  • Articles or other service

Step 1

Sign up for a free Yahoo! account. Go to Answers.Yahoo.Com and click the link “Sign Up” at the top of the screen. Follow the wizard to create a user account. You will not be able to ask or answer questions without an account. Log-in to your new account once created. If you already have a Yahoo! account, you may use your existing account.

Step 2

Determine the product or service from which you wish to make money. For instance, if you write online articles and earn money from page views, each article you have written is a product you can earn money from. Affiliate programs and any other Website or blog in which you make money by having someone view or purchase a product or service are valid products and services for you to use.

Step 3

Search Yahoo! Answers for a question. It should be in relation to your article, Website, or affiliate program. Type your search terms in the search box and press "Search."

Step 4

Post a valid answer to the question. If you only post a link, this will be considered SPAM and your account may be blocked.

Step 5

Post your article, Website, or affiliate link at the end of the answer. You can also do this in the Resources section in the answer screen.

Step 6

Monitor new questions at least once per day and post new answers and links. The more valid answers you give, the more popular you become on Yahoo! Answers. This will lead to more people clicking your links and more earnings for you.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your affiliate program or product doesn’t directly apply to the question, don’t post the link. Inappropriate links, including off topic links, will be viewed as SPAM or advertising, which is against the Yahoo! Answers Terms of Service.
