How to Make Yahoo My Internet Home Page

The home page in a Web browser is the website that automatically appears when you open a window. Yahoo! is a search engine that you can use to find information on the Internet. You may enjoy this particular search engine and thus want to set it as your home page. The steps for making Yahoo! your home page are slightly different depending on whether your default browser is Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Internet Explorer

Step 1

Click "Tools" at the top of an open Internet Explorer window.

Step 2

Choose "Internet Options." A new window will open.

Step 3

Select the "General" tab that is located at the top of the "Internet Options" window.

Step 4

Enter "www.yahoo.com" into the "Home Page" text box at the top of the window. Then, click "Apply" and "OK".

Firefox

Step 1

Click "Tools." and choose "Options" in an open Firefox window. A new window will open.

Step 2

Select the "Main" button at the top of this window.

Step 3

Enter "www.yahoo.com" into the "Home Page" text box, the second text box from the top of the window, and click "OK".
