How to Mass Save Facebook Photos

By Nick Miles

The online social networking site Facebook is a great tool to share content with your friends. Anything from photos to videos to links can be shared with all of the people across your network. For every photo shared on Facebook, there is the option to individually download that photo to save on your computer. This can get tedious if you are trying to save a mass amount of photos. With the help of applications such as PhotoGrabber, TagSnag or Fluschipranie, you can download entire albums and tagged photos of yourself and all of your friends.

Step 1

Download and install PhotoGrabber. The application is available for both Windows and Mac OS X.

Step 2

Open PhotoGrabber by double-clicking the PhotoGrabber icon on your desktop or selecting it from the “Start Menu.” If you are using a Mac, the program can be found in the Applications folder on the Dock.

Step 3

Click the “Login” button in the PhotoGrabber application window.

Step 4

Log in to your Facebook account in the browser window that opens and click “Allow” to allow the PhotoGrabber application to access your Facebook account.

Step 5

Copy and paste the login token from the next page into the PhotoGrabber window and click the “I want to download…” button.

Step 6

Click the checkboxes for the types of photos you want to download. You can download all of the tagged photos of a specified user, albums containing tagged photos of a user, albums uploaded by a user and comments and tagging information.

Step 7

Select the users for which you want to download photos. You can select yourself or anyone else in your friends list.

Step 8

Click “Begin Download” to start downloading the photos. The photos will be saved on your computer.

Step 2

Step 3

Click “Browse” and select a download destination folder on your computer.

Step 4

Click the “Start” button to begin downloading pictures. All of the photos that you are tagged in will be downloaded to the specified folder.
