How to Move the Start Menu to Bottom of the Screen
The Windows Start menu is permanently affixed to the location of the Start button, which is always located on the taskbar. You can move the taskbar to different locations on the system's screen, which will move the Start menu with it. Once you move the taskbar to the bottom of the screen, the Start menu will return to its default "upwards" opening method.
Right-click an empty area of the system taskbar, which is located to the left of the system tray icons and clock.
Remove the check next to "Lock the taskbar" if one is set.
Click an empty area of the taskbar and hold the left mouse button down.
Drag the taskbar to the bottom of the desktop, which will relocate it to the bottom of the screen. Release the mouse button.
Right-click an empty area of the taskbar and choose "Lock the taskbar" if you would like to reset it to a locked state.
