How to Obtain Cell Phone Records for All Incoming & Outgoing Calls

By Emily Fisher

Many cell phone carriers provide only the calling summary on your monthly billing invoice. However, you may need a record of all your incoming and outgoing calls to provide documentation to your company, tax purposes, or for your own personal use. While you may not receive a record of your incoming and outgoing calls on your invoice, it is not difficult to obtain these records. Your incoming and outgoing calls are provided by your cell phone provider in a call detail report.

Step 1

Set up an account on your cell phone provider's website. You will need to set up a username and password. To set up the account, you will need to enter your cell phone number, address and cell phone account number.

Step 2

Log in to your wireless account on your cell phone provider's website.

Step 3

Select the link titled "View Call History" or "View Call Detail."

Step 4

View the call history and specific details. This report will provide you with all incoming and outgoing calls to and from your cell phone. This report may be provided as a PDF document, so you may need to have Adobe installed on your computer.
