How to Open a WBD File

By Jim Campbell

Whiteboard software exports whiteboard comments and notes to a WBD database file. The file can be imported into another whiteboard setup, but you can also use Windows Notepad to view the notes within the file format. The software manufacturer indicates that you can use Notepad and any other word processing software such as Word or Wordpad to view the file content.

Step 1

Click the Windows "Start" button. Type "*.wbd" in the search text box and press "Enter." Windows searches for the WBD file on your system.

Step 2

Right-click the WBD file in the results window. Click "Open With" in the popup menu. A list of suggested programs display.

Step 3

Select "Notepad" from the list of programs. If you prefer to use another Windows program, click the alternative program instead.

Step 4

Click "Open" to open the file and read the file content.
