How to Open an XFDL File

An XFDL file is a data file primarily used by businesses to store business transactions and other legally binding transactions. The XFDL format is based off of XML, a similar format used make documents more accessible for HTML. XFDL files are supported by Windows Notepad, the built-in basic text editor for all Windows operating systems.

Step 1

Click the "Start" button in the Windows taskbar. Type "Notepad" into the Search Programs and Files bar. Click "Notepad."

Step 2

Click "File." Click "Open."

Step 3

Select the XFDL file you want to open and click the "Open" button.
