How to Pair an iPhone With an LG HBM-710 Bluetooth

By Shawn McClain

Bluetooth technology is a wireless networking standard that lets two devices quickly and easily connect and share information. One of the main uses for Bluetooth technology is to allow mobile devices, like your iPhone, to be able to connect to a wireless headset so that you can talk on the phone without having to hold the phone to your ear. Before you can start using your HBM-710 with your iPhone, you have to first go through a connection process called pairing, that lets the two devices know how to communicate with each other.

Step 1

Plug both the iPhone and your HBM-710 in their respective chargers and let them charge up for a while. Headset manufacturers recommend that their device be fully charged before pairing, but if you let it charge for at least 20 minutes, you will be fine.

Step 2

Press and hold the large button on the face of the HBM-710 for about five seconds. When you hear a beep and see the LED indicator light remain solidly lit, release the button.

Step 3

Tap "Settings" on the home screen of your iPhone. Then scroll down the page and tap "General," and finally tap "Bluetooth." This will bring up a mostly blank page with "Bluetooth" at the top.

Step 4

Tap the word "Bluetooth" at the top of the page to turn Bluetooth on. The iPhone will now begin searching for devices automatically and will list them on the page.

Step 5

Touch "LG HBM-710" when you see it appear on the screen. Enter passkey of "0000" when you are asked to. Touch "Connect" in the upper-right corner of the screen after you have typed the passkey. Your iPhone is now paired with your LG HBM-710.
