How to Position a Tumblr Banner

Tumblr is a micro-blogging social network that allows you to design and create your own blogs on the Internet. If your blog uses a banner as a header image, you can edit your theme HTML to change the position of the banner. By default, an image will automatically align on the left side of the screen. You'll need to edit the HTML to center a banner or align the banner image on the right side.

Edit Tumblr Theme HTML

Step 1

Log in to your Tumblr account and click the name of the blog you would like to edit from the top menu.

Step 2

Click "Customize Appearance" from the menu on the right.

Step 3

Click "Theme" from the top toolbar, then click "Use Custom HTML." This will open the HTML coding for your Tumblr blog in a text box.

Step 4

Scroll down until you find the code for your image header block. This may be different depending on your layout, but most themes will include code such as "
