How to Print a Copy of an Email

If you are new to emailing, you may have a few questions about how to perform certain functions, like sending an attachment via with an email or how to print a copy of an email. Printing a copy of a single email or several email messages from a back and forth exchange is a fairly straightforward process. While you can often print directly from an email service, like Yahoo or Hotmail, the simplest approach to printing an email is to use word processing program print an email message.

Step 1

Copy the text from the email by holding down the left button of your mouse and highlighting the text you want to copy. Once you come to the end of the text passage you wish to copy, right-click with your mouse and this will bring up a range of options.

Step 2

Click "Copy" from the menu.

Step 3

Open a word processing program, like Microsoft Word or Open Office.

Step 4

Click on "New" to create a new document.

Step 5

Select "Edit" from the menu and click "Paste" to paste your email text into your new document.

Step 6

Save the document by giving it the same title as the email or something that you will easily recognize.

Step 7

Select "File" from the menu and choose "Print." Choose the printer and the number of copies and click "Print."
