How to Print a Verizon Phone Text

By Amy Romero

Occasionally, cell phone users receive text messages that they would like to print. You may need a printed text message for legal reasons, for directions, or just for record-keeping purposes. As with any other phone, a text cannot be printed directly from a Verizon phone, but there is a workaround. The workaround will work for any phone with messaging capabilities as long as it has access to the Verizon network.

Things You'll Need

  • Verizon messaging services
  • Personal email address
  • Printer

Step 1

Retrieve the text message that needs to be printed by going back into the previously read messages and selecting it.

Step 2

Use the menu button to select an option for emailing or sending the message to someone else. The menus read slightly differently on each Verizon phone, but the outcome is the same. Select the option that allows a user to email or forward the text.

Step 3

Enter a valid email address into the first line. It may look like a phone number should be entered, but text can be entered as well, so an email address will work.

Step 4

Click "Send" to send the message to the email address that you entered.

Step 5

Sign into your email.

Step 6

Retrieve the email that was sent from the Verizon phone. It most likely will appear as "From" the phone number of the phone used.

Step 7

Select "Print" from the menu. If there is no such option, right-click within the email and select "Print" in order to print the email that contains the text message.
