How to Print From a Mobile Phone

By Lucy Dale

With advances in cellular technology, you can now take pictures and write documents on many smart phones. You can also print photos and documents to make full use of them. To do so, just download the right application onto your mobile phone and computer.

Things You'll Need

  • Mobile phone
  • Computer
  • Printer

Step 1

Download Dropbox from the Apple iTunes store. You will need to save Dropbox on the computer connected to the printer as well as the mobile phone you want to use. Dropbox will work with the iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Nokia, webOS from Palm, and Android phones.

Step 2

Turn on your mobile phone, computer and printer. Your computer and printer should be hooked up, whether with cables or through a wireless connection. Your cell phone does not need to be connected to either of the other devices.

Step 3

Download software from LabNol, then follow the link to this zipfile: "http://img.labnol.org/files/ePrint.zip." Once it has downloaded, double-click on the file labeled "eprint.vbs." This will create a new folder called PrintQueue within your Dropbox folder.

Step 4

Send a test file from your phone to your printer by putting it in the PrintQueue Dropbox folder. The file should print within several seconds.
