How to Print Larger Font

By Jon Stefansson

Your computer and printer can print text in a range of sizes. All font sizes are determined by the software you are printing from and not by the printer. Font sizes are arranged in a numerical system, with font size 1 being very small and over 100 being very large. You might want to change the font size in order to fit more words on a single page or to make text easier to read. Changing the size of your font is uncomplicated and should only take a few seconds.

Step 1

Open the document containing the text you would like to print in a larger size.

Step 2

Click and drag the mouse over the part of the text you want to make bigger. To increase the size of all the text click "Edit" then "Select All" from the menu.

Step 3

Click the dropdown menu next to the name of the font. It will have a number inside it, which is the current size of your font.

Step 4

Select a number larger than the one already displayed to increase the font size.

Tips & Warnings

  • Most standard text is between 10 and 12 in size. Titles or headings are usually sized between 14 and 24. Size 6 or below is usually too small for most to read.
