How to Print to a PDF File From a Mac

By Joshua Laud

Apple's Mac operating system has the inbuilt ability to save or "print" to PDF from most of its programs. The Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) is a popular file type for distributing documents online, and on disc. PDF files cannot be edited with standard word processing applications such as Microsoft Word, like DOC file types can. This makes PDFs prefererable if you want to distribute documents that won't get edited. While Adobe Acrobat Professional is typically used to create PDF files, you can do this with many programs using an Apple Mac.
