How to Private Browse on the iPhone

By Brendan O'Brien

The iPhone is a cell phone device that allows users to surf the web. Users who surf the web on their iPhones may want to keep their web habits private. Although the device does not have a simple button to turn on private browsing like some browsers do, users can easily manipulate their settings to complete this task.

Step 1

Tap the Safari icon on your iPhone.

Step 2

Tap the small open book icon at the bottom of the browser that appears. Tap the "Clear" button in the lower-left corner of the screen that appears.

Step 3

Tap the large red "Clear History" button that appears.
